The Child Protection Network Nigeria (CPN) has congratulated Professor Alkali Alhaji Umar on his appointment as a Judge of the High Court of Nigeria, describing the elevation as well deserved and a testament to his integrity, legal brilliance and lifelong commitment to justice.

In a congratulatory statement issued yesterday and signed by its National Coordinator, Olakunle Sanni, the Network said Professor Umar’s appointment reflects years of distinguished service to the legal profession and humanity at large.
According to the statement, Umar, who until his appointment served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Child Protection Network Nigeria, made invaluable contributions to the advancement of child rights, protection and the promotion of the rule of law across the country.
“On behalf of the entire members, executives and trustees of the Child Protection Network Nigeria, we extend our warmest congratulations to Prof. Alkali Alhaji Umar on his appointment as a Judge of the High Court of Nigeria,” the statement read.
The Network noted that Umar’s deep legal acumen, unwavering integrity and compassion had consistently stood out, expressing confidence that these qualities would continue to define his service on the Bench.
“We are confident that the same wisdom, dedication and sense of justice he has demonstrated over the years will continue to guide him as he assumes this noble responsibility in service to the nation,” the statement added.
The Child Protection Network further wished the newly appointed judge a fulfilling, impactful and honourable judicial career, while congratulating him on what it described as a remarkable milestone in public service.
