In a rare display of religious harmony, Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State commissioned the Dari Central Mosque in Kokona a worship centre built and funded not by Muslims, but by a Christian.

The project, undertaken by the State Commissioner for Education, Dr. John Mamman, was described as a deliberate effort to strengthen peace, unity, and religious tolerance in the state.
Governor Sule, while commending the gesture, urged Nigerians to embrace patience and mutual respect irrespective of faith or social status.
Former APC national chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed, lauded the initiative, calling it a milestone that should inspire other communities across the country.
Local leaders said the mosque stands not just as a house of worship, but as a lasting symbol of harmony and development for Kokona and beyond.
