The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has led a high-powered delegation to the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a bilateral meeting aimed at strengthening ties between both nations.

The delegation included members of the House of Representatives and ground handlers, with discussions centering on deepening cooperation and ensuring a seamless pilgrimage experience for Nigerians in Israel.

Bishop Adegbite expressed appreciation to the Israeli authorities for their support in providing a safe environment for pilgrims, pledging that the Commission would sustain its record of zero abscondment and uphold transparency in its operations.
He noted the remarkable participation of about 100 lawmakers in the Executive Pilgrimage, describing it as a milestone that could become a regular tradition to boost mutual understanding.
Responding, Tania Berg-Rafaeli, Director of the West and Central Africa Division at Israel’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, hailed Bishop Adegbite’s leadership and praised Nigerian pilgrims for their discipline.
She pledged closer collaboration with the NCPC and the Nigerian Embassy in Israel to further strengthen bilateral relations.
