Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum, has commissioned three major health projects in Monguno town, headquarters of Monguno Local Government Area, as part of his administration’s drive to expand access to quality healthcare across the state.

The projects include a Dental Hospital, an Eye Hospital, and a School of Nursing and Midwifery. According to Governor Zulum, the facilities are designed to provide affordable, accessible, and specialized healthcare services to residents, while also strengthening the state’s healthcare workforce through training and capacity building.

He emphasized that the initiative underscores his government’s commitment to bridging gaps in healthcare delivery, particularly in northern Borno, where communities have long struggled with limited access to medical services.

The governor further noted that the projects would not only serve Monguno but also neighboring communities, thereby reducing the burden of long-distance travel for patients in need of specialized care.
