The Governor made this appeal on Saturday during an inspection of the ongoing project, emphasizing that Alhaji Aliero’s initiative has saved numerous lives and improved transportation for motorists in the area.
He noted that the two bridges, which serve as critical links between the northern and southern regions of the state, had been severely impacted by the rains, disrupting the movement of vehicles.
“I recognize that Alhaji Abba has been a steadfast supporter of communities facing challenges. His contributions complement the government’s efforts,” he stated.
In response, Alhaji Abba Aliero, who is also the younger brother of Senator Adamu Aliero, expressed gratitude to the Governor for his commitment to the people of Kebbi State.
He elaborated that his contributions aim to alleviate the suffering of the masses, highlighting the safety concerns of the alternative route, Dakingari road.
Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, has urged all philanthropists in the state to follow the example set by Alhaji Abba Aliero, the Managing Director of Labana Rice Mill, in his efforts to repair two highway bridges that were washed away by heavy rainfall along the Jega-Koko road in Kebbi State.
“The new route currently being used by long and commercial vehicles is also at risk of collapse. This is why I decided to take the initiative to repair the two bridges,” he explained.
