The Governor of Benue State, Reverend Father,Hyacinth Alia, has approved new appointments into various offices and statutory boards in some commissions in the state.
The appointments, which take immediate effect, are part of the governor’s administration’s determination to strengthen governance structures and drive sustainable development across the state.
Governor Alia in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula in Makurdi, gave names of the newly appointed officials to include Linda Ene Agada as Special Adviser on MSMEs/Microfinance, James Tor as Special Adviser on Politics, Mobilisation & Special Duties, and Dr. Shadrach Ukuma as Director-General, Arts, Culture & Tourism.
The governor has also constituted boards for the Benue State Pension Commission, Benue Investment and Property Company,BIPC, and Benue Internal Revenue Service,BIRS.
Those appointed include Mbajwa Zungwega Nicholas as Chairman of the Benue State Pension Commission, Chief Elizabeth Shuluwa as Chairman of BIPC, and Ande Clement Shianti as a member of the BIRS board.
Governor Alia urges the newly appointed officials to bring their wealth of experience, commitment, and professionalism to bear in the discharge of their duties.
He emphasizes that the appointments are part of his administration’s efforts to deliver on its mandate to transform Benue State for the benefit of all.
The governor called on the appointees to see their positions as a call to service and assures that his administration remains resolute in its commitment to good governance and development.
