The Misilli Community Development Foundation has enrolled 150 out-of school children into primary schools in Gombe Local Government Area, underscoring its commitment to education and community development within just three years of operation.
The beneficiaries 88 girls and 62 boys were placed in schools chosen by their parents, with the foundation fully responsible for their education.
To reinforce the effort, the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) donated textbooks and learning materials, describing the project as a model for tackling the menace of out-of-school children in Nigeria.

AGILE State Coordinator, Dr. Amina Haruna Abdul, hailed the foundation’s impact and expressed readiness to partner with it for greater outreach.
The State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Ministry of Education officials also commended the initiative, calling it a strong complement to government’s education agenda.
Director of Operations, Malam Yusuf Hamza, disclosed that the foundation currently focuses on Gombe LGA but plans to expand to other parts of the state. Beyond education, the foundation provides health services, potable water, transformers, and solar-powered streetlights in rural communities.
Chairman of the foundation, Isma’ila Uba Misilli, who doubles as Director General of Press Affairs to the Gombe State Governor, appreciated stakeholders for their support.
He announced that three outstanding pupils received bicycles as awards, while every enrolled child was given a school bag with complete learning materials.
