The National Chairperson of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Hajia Aisha Ibrahim, has reaffirmed the association’s solidarity with the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, pledging sustained collaboration to advance women’s empowerment and development across the country.
Hajia Ibrahim made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the Minister of Women Affairs at the Women Development Center in Abuja, where she led a NAWOJ delegation alongside other women’s platforms.
She stressed the association’s unwavering commitment to supporting government programs and policies that promote women’s rights, economic empowerment, and social welfare.
“NAWOJ remains a critical voice in championing the cause of Nigerian women, and we believe that collective action with the Ministry will deepen the impact of initiatives that uplift and protect women,” she said.
In her response, the Minister expressed appreciation for NAWOJ’s solidarity and assured of the Ministry’s openness to stronger partnerships that will drive transformative change for women nationwide.
The visit, observers noted, marked another step towards strengthening collaboration between the media and government institutions in addressing gender inequality and promoting inclusive development.
