The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) Bishop Prof. Stephen Adegbite, has been conferred with an Award of Excellence by the Coalition of Nigerian Christian Bishops and Clerics in collaboration with 30 Patriotic Bishops of Nigeria.

The award was presented at the NCPC Corporate Headquarters, Abuja, by Bishop Dr. Emmanuel Jaiyesola, Vice Chairman of the 30 Bishops.
In his acceptance speech, Bishop Adegbite expressed deep gratitude, recalling his 37-year journey in God’s service since his ordination at the age of 20.
He lauded the clerics for their unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, whom he described as “the Esther of our time and the first Pastor to serve as First Lady in Nigeria.”
Highlighting the achievements of the Tinubu administration, the NCPC commended initiatives such as youth and women empowerment programmes, the introduction of CNG buses to ease transportation burdens, the landmark Students Loan Scheme, reforms in the power sector, and renewed bilateral relations with strategic nations. According to him,
“It is only the blind that will not see that what Mr. President is doing for the country is commendable.”

Bishop Adegbite also noted the historic significance of having three distinguished ,President Tinubu, V.C Shettima, and the First Lady occupying leadership positions at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa.
Earlier, Bishop Jaiyesola said the award was a recognition of Adegbite’s spiritual leadership and his contributions to the nation and the body of Christ.
He praised the NCPC boss for his impactful prayer at President Tinubu’s inauguration and his transformative strides at the Commission, assuring that his tenure would continue to strengthen both the Church and the nation.
The coalition prayed for God’s continued guidance upon Bishop Adegbite, urging him to sustain his commitment to advancing the kingdom of God and national unity.
