Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to travel to India in December, the Kremlin announced on Friday, signaling deepening ties between Moscow and New Delhi despite mounting pressure from the United States.

Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov disclosed to reporters that President Putin will also hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday, on the sidelines of a regional summit in China.
According to Ushakov, discussions at the summit will focus on preparations for the December visit, which is expected to further cement bilateral cooperation in trade, defense, and strategic partnerships.
Putin’s planned visit comes at a time when Russia seeks to strengthen its alliances in Asia, as global geopolitical tensions continue to reshape international relations.
